Whenever I am sick or have injured myself (it happens a lot), I sit on the couch and do nothing.  I think about getting up to paint, but I think I am too depressed.  I  recently went to Julian and stopped by Anza Borrego Desert before Julian and painted the mountains, which are lovely there.  
I then went to Julian and stayed at the Gold Rush Hotel and injured my knee going up and down the stairs.  So I have been injured and feeling sorry for myself.  My idea was to do some Plein air painting in Julian, but it was too cold, and it was rainy.  
Julian is an old mining town that came alive in the. The 1800s  It has many old houses and a cute main street.  Julian is also known for their apple pies.
